Hey Folks,

Bought a new SDS150, so I'll probably be bothering y'all a bit.

Anyway for years I have found the Houston Fire Department robot voice quite annoying. My main question is what is the code at the end of the broadcast. I have searched and cannot find it. It often says Alpha Alpha Ten, but sometimes it's other such as Alpha Bravo Ten.

Clue me in?

Thanks,
Robert

It's a channel designator of where the response traffic will be.

Thanks much. One would think one of the sites that describes the other codes, including those pertaining to HFD's equipment, would have that info.

I will add the robot voice is easier to understand on the SDS150 than my 436HP. I have not listened in a while so maybe HFD did something on their end. It's still pretty awful.

Take it EZ,
Robert

Are you listening on the UHF or trunked side for HFD dispatch.
