Also dPMR can be found on any frequency, not just the EU FRS-like PMR446 bands. I have a pair of KiriSun radios I bought back in late 2013 when I was looking for a cheap option for encrypted radios. Which it does on dPMR mode, they work in the 400-512 range and I was using them on 458 MHz.
Granted this was before the DMR explosion though and before the likes of BaoFeng/Retevis/TYT started flooding the market with cheap DMR capable radios like the legendary MD380 a couple years later. Back then when going DMR was a way people were getting away from the average pesky scannerist.
