Dear Colleagues, I am looking for information on data formats and technical specs on the historic Ground Controlled Interception data links. I am looking for details and specs on the following Warsaw Pact and Western Cold War datalinks:

(1) Lazur-SM used on the Tu-128 and Su-15 with the Vozdukh-1M ground transmitting station (1960s);
(2) Lazur-1/M used on the MiG-21 (1960s);
(3) Lazur-SMA used on the MiG-23 (1970s);
(4) ARI 18168 used on the English Electric Lightning (1960s);
(5) Lazur E502-20 Biryuza (Turquoise) and E502-20/04 Turquoise used on the MiG-29 (1980s);
(6) Swedish Saab 35 Draken datalink (unknown nomenclature).

These systems allowed to guide an interceptor from a ground station through burst data transmissions usually on the VHF and UHF AM air bands. No voice transmissions were necessary unless the data link failed. Each specific command, like accelerate, turn left/right, descend, ascend, etc. was displayed on cockpit indicators or HUD in newer aircraft. Reportedly some historic data links even allowed a ground station to take full control over an interceptor to guide it directly to a target.

Any details on these systems are appreciated. Maybe someone managed to hear such transmissions in the time best forgotten?
