Hello,

I was wondering if Howard County is still utilizing their Minitor 2 pagers. I have wanted one for the longest time, but have now managed to actually read about that. I know I need a VHF, for the 154.250 frequency. I need the alert ID for Station 6. If anyone could please help me out, please post here! Thanks :)

Anyother information I may need, please post here as well!

Fireguy,

We are still using some of the minitor II pagers, but mostly have gone to the Minitor 3s and 4's. We also have Arch digital pagers, but the go down so frequently they are not reliable.

Station 6s alert tones are:

Code 196/110
or
Freq 1321.2/330.5

Okay. So all I need to do is purchase a minitor 2/3/ or 4 and take it to my radio shop and tell them,

154.250
154.220
and for the bells Code 196/110
or
Freq 1321.2/330.5 either one of those?!

Thanks!

Yes. The minitor II will have to be put on the bench and retuned or have a new crystal put in, but probably both. As for the tones, each "filter" has a code that corasponds to a frequency that passes through it. The Minitor 3's and 4's are a very simple computer programming that can set the freq and the tones w/o any bench work.
