Hold ? on 536HP

Hi all,
Still trying to figure out this scanner. If I push hold and then look at the group it seems to put three diffeent holds in system and I can't seem to release them. What am I doing wrong or how do I correct this?

To start with you need to speak the language of the 536. There is no hold button to push and there are no groups. So more information is needed.

To hold a current transmission in progress, hit CHANNEL
To hold a current department, hit DEPT
To hold a current system transmitting, hit SYSTEM.

To reverse the hold, hit the same button again.
