home patrol 1 in delaware

Can I use the home patrol 1 in delaware. I just bought one and nothing comes through. Or do I need the newer home patrol 2

Have you updated the database? Have you turned on the proper service types? Nothing in Delaware has changed in years (on the state system at least) and I've used most digital trunktrackers with success there, including the venerable HP1.

Yes, it says it has latest updates.I had one a few years back and just put in area code and it was good.

I do remember doing that to a previous scanner but I have forgot how I got those offset numbers. Do you know how I can get them. That might work.

Will the hp1 allow me to put those offsets in since it is already programmed by putting in zip code.

yes you have to put them in or wont work at least not in Delaware.Mike

I have never had to do anything for the DE TRS on the HP1 except update the database and it works. it's plug-and-play basically.

Don't forget to check to see that you have the services you want to hear selected. Police, fire etc...

I assume you have entered your local zip code so that it is trying to listen to the correct site(s)

I've tried all things and nothing. I'm just gonna give up lol. When I updated the scanner it never said updating on the hp1. It just went to Delaware channels. My computer just said it has already been updated to the latest version. It never allowed the hp1 download software like i seen on you tube.
