I have a Home Patrol 2, as of a few days ago my scanner went silent. From my understanding my local agencies switch to a different site (tower) not sure the proper term. How can I figure out if I am still able to receive transmission or if my scanner will no longer pick them up? I have never programmed one before as it usually automatically picks up my local channels.

Were you listening to the Luling city frequencies? Have you updated the database recently. There is no indication of a change in the listing here on RR but if only a few days ago it might not be available yet.

Upadte the database, re-emter your zip and see what happens. Sometimes moving to a different tower, means new frequencies. Hopefully someone who eats at City Market will chime in!!!!!

I have the database updated, I was just told on another thread they are going to update the database today with the new frequencies. Actually I eat at City Market quite frequently, my dad and uncle may just be the owners 😬

As you've seen in the related thread in the Texas forum, your county, Caldwell, is moving from the GATRRS system to the LCRA trunked system.

Nice…then a DB update and hopefully you’re good to go!
As the database admin for that area, rattlerbb01 has noted, he'll be updating the main database later today. However, while the actual, online, database may be updated in the next 24 hours or so, the database update that Sentinel uses will not reflect the changes until Uniden processes weekly changes. That is done on Sundays, with the updated file for Sentinel becoming available by mid-day next Monday.

However, once the online updates are completed, with site & talkgroups related to the changes shown, you can manually make the needed changes to get your local agencies back in your scanning rotation.
