I've written some extensive labview programs to control my 996 - ther bandscope, RSSI vs. Time for a particular channel, and similar functions are all fairly easy to do....
BUT the main question I have is whether or not HP1 has that type of PC control funtionality available as weoll... Since my entire county is going digital in the next couple years, it's looking like time to buy another scanner. I'm not wild about having two totally different scanners (Uniden and GRE) simply because some operating characteristics change by MFR. Granted, the HP1 is a totally different beast, It's sure be nice to knwo if I could do some of those same things with it that I am currently doing with the 996....
