Honolulu P25 Update

These following have now fully transitioned to the P25 system:
TheBus (Unencrypted)
HART (Since 2023ish?)
These following are still on the EDACS system:
Department of Environmental Services (DES), still get like few people who talk on it during pickup days


I noticed about DES was from a video I saw from a guy who works with them as a driver, the Harris mobile on the trucks (especially the newer ones) all had an "INV SYS" and some with LOST MRU.

In other videos it shows that theyre using a conventional system (system line saying DIG CONV and group name CH1 LO) in the windward side

Definitely will see them soon on the P25 system and it will get chaotic knowing how they speak lol

Looks like Honolulu has been testing out newer XL-Converge portables and the APX NEXT, supposedly also heard that some were also testing VP8000s but have yet to find photos. Also heard rumors that they plan on adding LLA (Link Layer Authentication) to their system.



On the HIWIN side for newer portables, I noticed some DLE dudes at the capitol using APX Next portables, and DLNR have moved onto using VP8000s.
