Trying to program SDS 200 for fire and ems on NXDN. I have the NXDN add on in the scanner. Need help trying to program the frequencies that are NXDN. Are they trunked or single freq? How do i do this. Thanks.

According to this, there really isn't a lot of NXDN around...

And this hasn't been discussed all that much - DMR (which is rather popular in your area) is much more so, but here is what we have so far...

Precisely what is it you want to hear? Mike

The 1960 group (TECC) is using mixed mode on most of their NXDN repeaters, so NFM works fine for those. The users can talk in either NFM or NXDN and the repeaters will retransmit them in NFM. COMM-1, 3 and 18 are the only ones currently transmitting in NXDN mode (that I am aware of) on the outbound link.

Atascocita Fire has a NXDN trunked system, but I suspect its fairly short range as they really only need it to cover their response area. I believe the proper LCNs are in the database for it. I am not sure how busy it actually is.

Thought I might ask, figure its worth a shot, but out of curiosity, about how close would you have to be to this system to receive it? Ball park figure? Also, was wondering if you might have figured out what the channel numbering on that system was for each frequency, the database has frequency listings for it, but no actual channel numbers.

I have Atascocita Volunteer Fire Department programed in DSD+ Fastlane with a bunch of help from forum members. It's a NEXEDGE48 type system and from what I can tell there is very little traffic.
