I was hoping to have some people chime in on this. How is your scanner programmed? I'm going to re-do my banks in my BC780xlt and was hoping to get some fresh ideas on how to program the banks.. I currently have various cities fire and PD lumped together. I was possibly going to try an all fire bank and and all PD bank etc. i will have one bank dedictaed to the city of Seattle. But looking for suggestions, and lets all chime in on how we have our banks and channels set up. Thanks, Happy Holidays!

I myself put fire in one bank city cops in the next bank and than county stuff in its own bank with most scanners have ten banks so its just a matter of how you want your scanner to work and what works for you and the type of scanner that you have

I have every trunk system in a group (EPSCA, VALLY, SEATTLE, PORT, TACOMA, etc) then i have a multi group whch has a mix of all the city's i want to listen to.

in the systems i have groups for city's then groups for fire etc.

I have my systems programed up for 246 and bc15 that you can download demo of ARC software and check out how i did it. You can also cut and paste into your radio that way.

o gosh, i have a lot of different kinds of banks. but the ones i listen to most are like this:

one dedicated for eastside PDs and fire
one dedicated to WSP
one dedicated to private security
one dedicated to media
one dedicated for everything
one dedicated to "unknown freqs"
and lots more lol (but i don't use them much, only when i'm driving; like the boeing plant freqs, if i'm in the area, i may listen)

Well, looks like I am going to have to rethink things. Seems as if this Dynamic Memory isn't quite what I thought it was.

Each "System" has to be tied to a particular System Type (conventional, LT, Edacs, etc).

So, I'll have to organize things by trunks? I'm getting myself confused

BR330T. Will be getting it tomorrow and I'm trying to get a jump on things to get everything setup beforehand. I have trials of ARC330 and ScanControl.

Just have to re-think how I'm going to organize things.

Redoing the banks on my PRO-97 again.

Bank 0 Misc
Bank 1 Fire/EMS/WSP
Bank 2 Ham
Bank 3 Air
Bank 4 Businesses
Bank 5 Media
Bank 6
Bank 7
Bank 8
Bank 9 Drive-Thru

Misc is pretty much that; it also has the KC Public Safety in 084-099.
Bank 1 has various Fire and EMS frequencies in addition to WSP because I didn't know where else to put them.
Bank 2 has various ham related stuff
Bank 3 is mostly SeaTac frequencies (For some reason I really like how AM sounds; not broadcast, but this stuff)
Bank 4 is various businesses that use radios for communications. I also have some schools in here; I might split that off eventually.
Bank 5 is the media frequencies I've gotten off this thread and from the ULS.
Banks 6-8 are mostly open; although I'll probably put all of my UW stuff in one of those the next time I go up there.
Bank 9 is Drive Thru frequencies that I've found. It's nice to have in the car; if the restaurant is using a high power system then you can hear what's taking so long. And it's fun to show off to the people I used to work with ("Look, I can listen to the Drive Thru on this!").
