I've added the electric Co. 3 DMR frequencies. I hadn't had any traffic on them all day which is odd. When looking at the display on my SDS 200 while locked on the channels manually, I noticed there was no talk group. The talk group is 100 when programmed using Proscan. It shows color code 1 which is usually there. Do I need to manually add the talk group 100 some how? Thanks!

How do you have this programmed?

If programmed as conventional frequencies, you cannot include a talkgroup or slot designation, though you can use the color code.

If programmed as One Frequency Trunked, you can program the talkgroup & slot if so desired, as well as the color code.

For any conventional channel, or talkgroup ID (whether in an OFT system, or a trunked system with the LCNs specified), be sure that you have the appropriate service type enabled.

I don't see the electric company system listed on your county's database page. Did you get details from a local source?

Can you export your Favorites list into an *.hpe file? You will need to have Sentinel create & save that file. Then, using File Explorer, locate the file & <right><click> on it to get the option to compress it into a zipped file. The zip file can be attached to a post here in the forums. Or, you simply post your ProScan file for the Favorites list. ProScan uses the text (*.txt) file extension, which can be posted on the forum without having to create a zipped file.

I just appended the frequencies into the favorites list. When I use Proscan, it asks me if I want the DMR 1 frequency created then I click yes and it takes care of the rest. I'll see if I can post the Sentinel file in the morning. Thanks!

Taking Sentinel or any other programming app out of the equation: if you want to add talkgroups "on the fly", turn on ID Search and when the talkgroup(s) appear, quickly press the "E" key. Press "E" again to save talkgroup ID, then again at "Are you sure..." prompt. Select what department you want to save it to or create a new department. You can always use Sentinel or your app of choice to reorganize your system, name the talkgroups(s) if not in the RRDB, etc at a later time

THANK YOU!!!
Exactly what I have been trying to do and it works perfectly!
Messed around with software, couldn't figure it out. I think if its not listed in database, it can't be added through software but your method is tons easier.
It's like when I discovered top click on the left rocker plus E-yes will quickly toggle between ID search / ID scan... or pressing avoid twice will permanent avoid instead of temporary.:giggle:
