Yaesu: How to get the FT-991A to accept audio passed through it's built in sound card as the audio it needs to transmit?

Hi all, as the topic title says, I want to be able to use audio equipment on a computer (or the computer itself) to serve as the audio input to the radio that the radio then transmits. One example would be using an existing PC headset's mic as a substitute for the radio's mic. Another example would be to easily transmit ARRL Newsline over the air (our club does this weekly, and I would like to help) without designing / building or buying extra interfacing equipment.

Ultimately going the extra hardware interfacing route is not out of the question, but I am not interested in information or suggestions for that direction at this time. Right now, I only wish to explore options using the radio's built in sound card. Of most interest, is info from people who already do (or have done) it and know exactly what it takes to make happen.

I'm a Linux user primarily, so I'm looking for what I need to set on the radio side. I already know how to get sound routed to the radio's built in sound card. I've got that figured out. In fact, I am already able to listen to (or record, or whatever) the radio via it's sound card on the PC. I just can't quite figure how to transmit from the PC through the radio. Lastly, I do also have Windows available to use if it just has to be that way (no, please noooo).

So with that being said, does anyone know which radio menu settings need to be set and in which way to make this work, if it can work?
