How to program a specific talk group on an RS Pro-652?

I just got my first scanner, an RS Pro-652 and cannot figure out how to program a specific talk group on a trunked system.

The trunked system is the Allied Radio Matrix for Emergency Response for Minnesota, found at Allied Radio Matrix for Emergency Response (ARMER) Trunking System, Various, Minnesota - Scanner Frequencies.

About 2/3 down the page is a section called "Hennepin County - Minnetonka Talkgroups".

In this section is a line with DEC =10788, HEX = 2a24, Mode = D, Alpha Tag = MTKA PD DISP, Description = Police Dispatch and Tag = Law Dispatch.

What must be entered into the scanner in order to listen to this?

Do you know what frequency's you need ?

According to the table on Allied Radio Matrix for Emergency Response (ARMER) Trunking System, Various, Minnesota - Scanner Frequencies the primary control channel is 852.36250, the alternate control channels are 852.16250, 852.28750, and 853.83750. Then there are several other frequencies in that table that I don't know what they do. (This is new for me.)

If your programing manualy, there are 14 steps to follow. If you use Soft Ware, follow direction.

Create a trunk system with the frequencies for the site or sites nearest you, then add the talk groups, then assign the talk groups to scan lists.

cant get my pro 652 to upload from computer to scanner can anyone give me some advise

what software are you using what system are you trying to program
also here are the cables drivers you willl need to install them Virtual COM Port Drivers

Am using cables and radio reference but what I found out was to use different scanner software to program which radio reference doesn't tell you. Once I did use different software it downloaded fine. Is there any other scanner software you can use to program with? Just curious might want other items to scan. Thanjs
