It's been years since I bought an HT antenna, so I had not the smallest clue that phony antennas existed.....

I just bought a Diamond RH-205, which looked and performed superbly, not just on my ancient Kenwood TH-78a, but also on my Late Bronze Age Azden AZ-61 six meter HTs.

It was searching for a more local source of other Diamond HT antennas that brought me here......

Panic. Apoplexy.

Turns out that Ham City supplied me with a genuine Diamond. Whew.

That is why when I need a new antenna for any of my commercial radios I go to the local shop I used to work at, I rather pay the few extra bucks and keep the money here in America then buy something from possumcock china and wait almost a month for it to come in.

Ditto, and they make antennas for the ham bands. Laird and Comtelco on my mobiles.
