How up to date is the database for Idaho?

Does anyone know if the Idaho RR database( state and regional) is up to date or being updated regularly or is it all outdated? TG IDs analog conventional freqs.

Click on MENU in upper right corner of any listing, it will give you all the recent updates. Idaho seems to be updated on a regular basis.

Remember RR depends on submissions by the users to keep the listings updated.

You can look at the database history and see how long ago the last submission was.

There's a mix of factors too - the database is only as up to date as users make it, since it's entirely based upon user observation and submission.

Often times when areas swap to digital, the old analog frequencies remain - while they might not be used daily or frequently at all, they may still be within radios as backups or licensed to be available for those services still, so they don't disappear.

The Idaho Database is only as good as the submittals from users. Since much of the Law Enforcement is now encrypted, interest in submitting updates seems to have decreased. Please submit updates if you have information for new additions or corrections.

Analog frequencies are kept in the DB as fallback as long as the agencies keep the licenses current.

Actually quite a few updates occur to the DB. Since January 1, 2025, there have been 22 submittals for updates to the DB. Most of those have been for trunked digital systems such as DMR and NXDN radio systems. The State of Idaho appears to be switching many state activities, that were previously using analog radio systems, to a new statewide DMR system.

On the State of Idaho Page, click on the blue colored icon labeled MENU and select Trunked Systems. You will find all of the trunked Systems for the State listed there. You may need updates for your scanner to receive the DMR and NXDN.

Every submittal for update to the DB is acted upon. There is no currently no backlog of submittals.
