Howell Balloon Fest

Does anybody know what freqs. the balloons and tracking units use? I will be attending this event and wondered. Never tried to monitor any activity. I heard they may use FRS radios.

If your close enough try a Uniden Scanner with Close Call or RadioShack PRO with Signal Stalker.

There's a lot of action on MPSCS with Livingston Co ops.

I heard some Balloon to Chase vehicle activity on the VHF bands. Check the MURS and VHF no-license 2 watt freqs. All the ground crews had VHF antennas on the vehicles.
