HP-1 battery indicator question

Yep, this is normal and has been discussed several times. It's pretty much worthless. The only good thing is it will show when your on battery or AC power.

Well, I started to post that mine was neither, but instead has a "lightning" bolt in the indicator icon. Then I pulled the plug, and saw all green. Thirteen months and that was the first time it ran (even if just for a few seconds) on battery power (at least to the best of my recollection, lol).

Something else to add to the wish list - actual battery voltage display from the menu..That icon could be eliminated, put the Help button on the Menu and give us a S meter that was actually visible. While I'm on it, the keyboard lock is great, but what's up with anyplace in the middle third of the screen unlocking it? I've locked it, put it in a coat pocket and had it unlocked within about 20 seconds of moving around.
