HP-1 Questions

Hello,

Getting my HP-1 going again after many years.

Questions, please:

Does the unit have to be (fully) OFF for the battery to charge ? Or,...?

Can the unit work off of the battery well, if unplugged and fully charged ? For how long approx. ?

Page 27 in the owner's manual under the heading "Battery and Power Information" has some good info on that.
