HP-2 Shipping today

Hi Sibbley,
what simulcast site are you hitting the NJICS system from and are you using an outside antenna with the HP2?

At this moment I'm hitting the Alpine site DOT N Ops. That's using the scope antenna that comes with the 996XT. I get more than that but no specifics at the moment. I'll keep an eye on which sites, and I'll get back to you. I have all the sites loaded.

Just now, I picked up the Hunterdon site, Troop B N Ops and DOT Central. I also get the Bucks system pretty well (North). I have the South site avoided.

I usually use the ST-2 antenna at home. At work, I use a mobile antenna or the scope that comes with the 996XT.

I'm in Northampton county, so I'm fairly close.

Ok, Thanks Sibbley.. I am in Lehigh County (macungie) and have very limited success with NJICS system with the 536 and D3000 at 40'. Same issue with Bucks.. Was thinking about the HP2 and wanted to see how you picked up NJICS with it. I seem to have many issues with p25 decoding using normal trunking parimeters and usually have to go with the P25 Single Frequency trunk method to get anything to work, especially Bethlehem. That is why I am thinking about the HP2 and maybe selling the 536..

Bucks is usually a problem for me too. I think the HP2 does much better on the Bucks system than the 436HP. Bethlehem sounds great for me on the 396xt and 436HP, even when I'm in Kutztown. I was just there in the last month and I was getting 4 bars and great audio with the Spectrum Force 700mhz duck. I wonder why Bethlehem would be causing you so much trouble.

I'll see about doing a video of HP2 handling the Bucks system too.
