• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

This is a large and very visible forum. We cannot jeopardize the ability to provide the RadioReference services by allowing this activity to occur. Please respect this.

I know u are supposed to contact Motorola Solutions but unfortunatly, the 1000 is too old and they no longer have the software (rss) available, So, per their advice, they advise me to go online and try to find someone who has a copy of the software. I have a Motorola Solutions business account but again they could not supply me with the RSS software. I do have the 1250, but if anybody out there has an extra copy of the ht1000 software, or knows how to get a hold of one or download one, please let me know. I need to get 2 HT 1000 radios program right away. I have bought the rib, and am trying to find a dos computer, so all I need is the software. I did go to a website that somebody recommended called ham files and downloaded the software onto a flash drive, but since I do not have a dos system, I am unable to try that software yet. if anybody out there has the software and is willing to part with it, please contact me at firemedic78@msn.com. I am NOT trying to violate any stickys to this forum, I did exactly what the sticky note said to do, Motorola Solutions no longer sells or makes a download available for the software for this model of radio, and since I do have a business account, I was able to speak to somebody and again their advice was to try a radio based forum and see if I could find it there. So I would appreciate any moderator not deleting this, since again, I did try to do what you said to do to begin with by contacting Motorola Solutions and giving them my business account information, and it was their advice to post this because they no longer deal with that model of radio. They don't even have or make parts for it anymore. Basically, even though it is still used out in the field here and there, obsolete to them. also, if anybody has a cheap dos computer, preferably a laptop, that they would like to get rid of fairly cheap and works, I would be interested in that as well. Thank you in advance.
