Good evening.
Our business uses a large mix of CP200/CP200d-series, XPR, and Kenwood TK series radios. I usually use a CP200XLS because of the additional programmable front facing buttons (P1/P2), which can be mapped to preset channels. I frequently switch between 2 or 3 channels, and it's obviously a huge time saver compared to the knob.
So, perhaps for all the wrong reasons, I was attracted to the HT1250, which to my uneducated eye, looked like it would support a third channel preset (because it has three "P" buttons). In the CPS software, I don't see this option in the drop-down the way I do when programming the XLS. Am I missing something, or is this not a feature supported on this radio?
Second, and arguably more importantly, I work in a noisy environment. The collar speaker/mic is substantially quieter than on the CP200 radios I'm comparing it with. The radio speaker itself is phenomenal; but once I plug in the speaker mic, it can't keep up with outdoor ambient noise. The speaker mic itself could be bad, of course. I don't have another of this type to test (we are mostly on the CP200s, with a few XPRs floating around). Before I order a replacement mic, are there any settings I should be checking in CPS?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Regards,
