Go to your original thread (TRX-1 Upgrade Error). The updater you need is there.
If its at whistler the site is down.
I downloaded all of the updaters before the site went down. The updater is attached in the other thread. It is the actual updater file, not a link to the Whistler site.
Save the attached zipped CPU updater file to your computer and extract. Connect your computer and scanner and run the extracted updater. Your scanner is waiting for the firmware update.
Tried that. Did not work. Held menu button in also. The scanner WILL NOT turn off anyway anyhow with the data cable in.
I FIXED IT !! Know what I did ? I DID NOT use the data cable from the radio........I used one from a Canon powershot camera. I had 2 trx1 and 2 cables and neither worked. As soon as I pluged the Canon one in it all worked. So......try a different cable.
I'm having the same problem when I'm trying to update my firmware and database for my TRX-1 through EZ Scan. It's stating there's a problem with the "internet connection" and gives me the same "Newer" tag as a status while updating. I'm assuming their servers must be down.
