Hello,
On Saturday, April 13th, I travelled to Seaforth, Ontario to observe their fire siren test. At noon, Owen Sound Communications began conducting pager tests for Zurich, Seaforth, and Clinton. During the test, Owen Sound Comms asked for a reply from the designated fire officer. However, I didn't hear any response on the county analog paging channel 154.265.
It's possible that I had weak reception with my Minitor V pager. The dispatcher acknowledged the response, but I'm curious as to what Huron East and other Huron County Fire Departments use for Tac channels. I know that North Huron uses DMR channels for some stations and analog channels for other areas like the Municipality of Bluewater Fire and Goderich Fire.
However, I'm not sure about other departments. As I'm too far from Huron County to hear them from Waterloo Region, I was wondering if there is someone closer to Huron County who could scan their frequencies and determine whether they use DMR, analog or other channels.
