Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

Anyone know of any software that can show GPS location from Hytera H series radios on a computer?
Hytera has their own smart dispatch but at the low cost of 5 grand i think thats a little much to see location info on 20 radios

Kenwood had some basic stuff back in the day and was 250 or 500 bucks and was perfect. All i need it to do is just show locations with talker alias or radio name on a google map. DSD wont work because this is for a customer and they cant be bothered to figure out how to load DSD, make it work and clear the location history everyday and blah blah blah

Or if anyone could make a program that would be nice too. Our company wouldnt mind paying for something like that. TransTRBO was perfect back in the day with the motorola radios but they never got around to supporting Hytera

Quite some time back I was playing with the SNMP traps from the HR1062. There are no published mib files. GPS data was present but I did not get to a point to where I was extracting it. Their trap data is a mess. Some is in english, some chineese. Some traps have different encoding than others. For example one trap was UTF-8 Hex where the next was encoded in GB2312 base64.

Using an old version of XNMS software I was able to extract mib data from the unencrypted libraries.

I do not have the time to mess around with this full time so I invite anyone to use this as a starting point. Hopefully give back to the community.
I attached extracted mibs with information I was able to pull out of their software. I'll post more of the work I did here Proton Drive the SNMP_dll.7z file contains the DLLs from XNMS. You can use JetBrains dotpeek (free decompiler) to view dll files.

Edit: updated share link

Why not SELL customer a hocky puck windos computer pre configured with auto start and a SDR that has remote control software pre installed, that holds traffic as long as customer wants then deletes location automaticly hourly or haily? If they want changes later you remote in for a (fee) to fix? You can offer a service to change names on vehicles And remote in and change size of the vehicle icons / names and how long they stay on screen? Customer has to plug in wall, plug in monitor, and internet, and sdr and its up and running as long as the sdr can hear the system from the dispatch office? I was watching a cruse liner or shipping container ship send out its gps across the ocean from the desert. :) Buy one of the computers you can mount on back of a 32" TV.

Problem with that is we have other customers on that system too and bus company don't need to be confused why they see other GPS users

Also don't know if dsd has an option to auto clear all the info from the screen every 10 mins or so

That was my first option but during some quick test it wasn't going to work out.

Kind of a moot point now as they just ended up getting some expensive obd GPS devices that took about an hour per bus to install

Iv asked hytera many times to make a very basic version of smart one dispatch that only shows GPS info but 5+ years and still nothinf

Someone else has a cheaper system if it still is cheaper? All have to look for the name. Yes LRRP.exe in DSDPlus in the config file you can set how long it displays I think once its up and running the F1-F10 change stuff on the screen? Bean a while since I used it. Did you ever config it to see what it dose? If not I can zip my DSDPlus send it to you and you drop your dsdplus.exe in then manully run Lrrp.exe give it a few minutes think it pulls map data from internet or a bit slow to load. then zoom in to your area and watch stuff pop up. If you really didn't config Lrrp at least you can look at my config files. OOps mine is in MI not that KL uk stuff.

I think if you lock out the radios in DSD they wont map on the screen so you can do custom for each customer.
Im supprised the shop dont have dual 32" monitors watching the system one with the map and the other with dsd on it
for the telemitry data.

Thats ALOT of locking out RID's for other customers. The bus company has almost 200 in their fleet and id say another 150 or so other customers. I dont really feel like typing out 400+ RID's and all that stuff

As for the RSSI program from Hytera these do not work with the H series. MD only
