I was given a hytera MD782 G VHF.
I was able to get in contact with a dealer who was able to give me the software needed to upgrade the firmware on the radio, and a version of CPS that could read and write that firmware
The dealer also gave me a code plug that I could edit my own information onto and upload to the radio
What I think I have discovered is that either the code plug that I was given somehow has TX disabled or my radio itself may have TX disabled in someway.
I can set another ham radio to the exact same frequency that the hytera should be broadcasting on and the other radio won’t pick anything up.
I’m wondering if anybody has any advice or what to do and I’m also wondering if anybody has a different code plug that I could try possibly even a blank code plug from a dealer.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I’m thinking maybe there’s a setting somewhere I could change to get TX to work or maybe something like that that I’m missing.
