did the squelch get changed somehow ?
i had a 396T go from 2 to 15 at one point by itself.
it was in my pocket, but you have to push on the top knob and rotate it,
i don't think it could do that in a pocket, and it never happened again.

Is it possible that they have migrated from the analog frequencies to the trunked systems? What scanner do you have? Is it capable of receiving P25 systems? Have you tried:

not antennas, everything works fine. i shut all down when storm came through last nite. rehooked all of them and the pro 197 had cherokee county on it. another note several r,r, frqs were not coming in and the pro 166 and the oddball uniden started showing activity on r.r.
maybe they needed a time out?
wally bloss they might need more blue berry muffins? you and i only know that 1

another thing could be involved. the wind towers been on and off lately. yesterday was off most of the day and when they mess with them my 2 meter radios either work better or terrible. 1 is just east of my house too

Did the loss of signal just start with the storm? One of the towers may have taken a lightning strike. It could be their problem.
Its been like a month.
Was thinkin lectric went out a couple times at my house, microwave and coffee pot clocks were blinking. After shutting down for bad weather last nite the radios slowly started retriving crawford and cherokee countys in kansas
