I am running Windows 7 Pro on a Lenovo t420 with an Intel i5 processor. I also run my computer with 3 accounts, two admin accounts, Admin1, Admin2 and one user account.

The problem would be that I have a couple of versions of a program called SDRSharp and none of them will run on the Admin2 and the User account, but they all run on the Admin1 account, they used to work in all accounts.

The only changes that I have made is I downloaded and installed Adobe and I think that is where my problems might be stemming from as I haven't done anything else up to that point. Since then however I selected a restore point and restored to a different date.

One last thing I just did that had no effect was to go into my Admin1 account and into all versions of SDR Sharp and allowed them to be shared with everyone. Any ideas?

Adobe is a company, not a product. The company makes many products. So in the unlikely event that some Adobe product is the problem, it might help to know which one.

There are also a lot of fake "You need to update..." sites out there, claiming you need to update Adobe Flash or Air or Acrobat, and if you used one of them for an update, you could have a malware problem. Be very careful about that.

Was your original install of SDRSharp an "install for all users" that was done just once? Or separate installs for each account?

WAG: You might try a reinstall in those two dead accounts, in case something overwrote or corrupted just those two. If something changed the USB ports and you're using a USB dongle...that could be all it takes. You'd be able to see how those compare in Device Manager.

Reinstalling the two dead account me an idea, what I have done is created a guest account and downloaded the programs into it and so far no problems. Thanks Rred, great idea.

I ended up deleting the two bad accounts and adding a new user and Admin account and everything is back to normal. I have no idea what caused the problem but it is now solved, thanks.
