ProScan: Need Help With SDS-200 / Proscan / RR

I am new to scanners. I can program P25, Dstar, Fusion and DMR on my ham radios no problem, but scanners are incredibly confusing. I have a Uniden SDS-200. I bought the premium for RR and I bought the Proscan program. All I want to do is use the RR program feature on Proscan to put these frequencies in my favorite folder. But every feature on Proscan is grey and doesn't work except FILE. I can connect to my scanner no problem with it, but that's about it. This stuff is so tedious I'm about to throw my laptop, scanner and all off the deck. Anyone got time to help someone that has zero knowledge of scanners? I also have Sentinel but see no where in it to use the Radio Reference freqs.

It's grayed out because a FL(Favorites Lists) is not opened. Go to the File menu then New. A folder browser will popup. Navigate to the location where you want the new favorites lists then click the "Make New Folder" button and give the folder a name then click the OK button.
Now the FL file is opened and you should be able to import from the RRDB (RadioReference Database).

Once you have the data in ProScan to your liking, you want to write to the scanner. Make sure the scanner is in MSM (Mass Storage Mode).
Another way is FTP Write but that involves more setup in the scanner so I would stick with MSM for now.

OK, got it working to this point. I wanted this page of frequencies, but it is not in any of the drop downs to pick. All the freqs that are available in the drop downs I already have in the scanner from the Sentinel software. Metropolitan Area Regional Radio System (MARRS) Trunking System, Kansas City Metro Area, Multi-State
I am guessing it will not add these.
All I have is the Highway Patrol, no Police, no Fire, no EMS. And there is a ton of them here in Kansas City.

You mentioned you already have them in the scanner so to prevent overwriting what's already in the scanner. I would before anything else is do a read from the scanner into ProScan or you can just open the Sentinel FL folder in ProScan. That way the scanner , Sentinel FL, and ProScan FL are all the same.

Select the Freqs(Site groups) you are in range of and the desired TGID groups,

Well, turns out the MAARS is already in there, but none of it works because of encryption. So, it looks like I have an $800 weather radio!!! I do get Highway Patrol and a couple ambulance to hospital channels, but that's it. I could use a very early bearcat scanner and get just about everything I am getting now. All the police, fire and EMS will not work. Even though they are listed in the MAARS that is on the scanner.
