Does anyone particpate with this group? I've never heard of it, and just interested in some feed back about their operation and the use of their frequencies.

Is it an attempt to create a basic "IREACH" for spotters in counties that particpate?

Ok, I was just kind of confused by your website. If I read it correctly, any spotter in the state can utilize your frequency to contact other spotters? (IE, I'm with GeorgeESDA and I want to call FredESDA down the road?).

Well, we request that all people "Join" I-WARN and our consent to communicate approved by the board. (mobile units)

Base stations require FCC licensing. All current base stations have been paid for by their owners or a S&R Team.

As you said, its basically a I-REACH/ESMARN

But it will also be widely used by Search & Rescue teams.

Many agencies don't have their own frequency or a using FRS radios -- with a statewide license and a little coordination - we're putting this together for them.
