Update the 7000

Thats what ICOM needs to do. Minus the heat issue of course.
They have no viable mobile anymore. And no, the 7100 isn't a mobile either. Not with that funky detached control head.

Well, try and mount that 7100 "control head" in a mobile. In todays vehicles, heck, in yesterdays vehicles.
The 7100 is a nice rig, to be sure, but it's simply a small base station that has a very small footprint in the form of a small control console. So as not to compete with the MAIN rig....the PC.

ICOM needs to return to the original mobile concept re: the IC7000. Just upgrade the circuits, display and computer control.

I'll buy one tomorrow!
