IC-9700 Won't select D-STAR repeater

New to D-STAR, I'm wondering why my IC-9700 won't allow me to select a new "from" repeater. Likely, the repeater is too far away, and I am wondering if the radio "knows" that, but here is the scenario: Long Press DR, Select from, Near Repeater, Near Repeater (DV), and two repeaters are listed, one 69 miles away and the other at 74 miles. If I tap on either one or scroll and attempt to select with "Multi", nothing happens. I can long-press to see details of either repeater, but I can't select either. In all the videos I see, tapping on a repeater will put it in the From box. If I go back through the menus, or use the menu button, the from is the default "Farm Ozondjisse". Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Well, this is embarrassing. The repeaters are UHF, and I was on VHF. Hopefully, someone will read this and think, "Oh, that's my issue, glad I was not the one to post
