Somehow I have messed up the settings on my PCR1500. I have audio coming out of both the black box and my PC speakers. When I hit "Mute" on the receiver screen, the black box audio mutes, but audio continues to come out of the PC speakers.

I have unchecked the "USB Audio Enable" box in the Port Setting dialog box, but it makes no difference. How do I fix this?

Hi Ken have you cliked the speaker setting you can have audio from internal speaker or pc speakers.

Regards Lino.

I've tried that. There is always audio from the PC speakers regardless of the settings in speaker settings. That's what I can't figure out. I can never mute the audio.

Take a look in your windows audio recording section and put back the mute checkmark.

I tried that; it doesn't matter. I have had this issue since upgrading to Windows 10. The audio from the PC speakers cannot be muted when using the PCR1500; the only way seems to be to turn down the speaker volume to zero.

I am wondering if this is a Windows 10 issue. I have the latest firmware update that supports Windows 7 and 8, but Icom doesn't mention if this same update works for Windows 10 or not. It does seem to work okay except for this auto mute issue.

In windows 10 I cannot say, but what you describe above is usually a unmute recording "input" device.
Wnem you go in the windows control panel and select audio the first tab is output device where you select your output IE speakers, the next tab is where you select the default recording device. In that that you select the USB input device and open the property in there you can select to unmute the device to ear what it is coming in by this input.

When I get my hand on windows 10 I'll take a look to see if this still exist.
