IC-R2 nuisance frequency delete

I have a question related to the old IC-R2. Is there a way to impose a nuisance frequency delete in programmed scan between two frequencies edges? The [FUNC] + [TS/SKIP] combination does not work as it stores the same nuisance frequency in the memory over again but in a different memory bank. However, the scanner stops on that very nuisance frequency every time, which is annoying. Setting SQL to maximum did not help. I am confused as the scanner is rather not easy to use.

The skip frequencies (lock out or pass) are stored in the highest available free channels. It seems you are storing these effectively, but the pass function needs to be enabled prior to the programmed scan (search between frequencies)

To turn Freq skip function ON/Off, select VFOmode with V/M, then
toggle the funct On or Off by pushing [FUNCT] + [(ts)SKIP]

The display Should show PSKIP to skip the required frequencies.

Any mem channel can be set for No Skip, SKIP - to skip the channel in memory scan,
or PSKIP - to skip both in memory scan & to skip in a programmed edge scan (search)

In memory mode, each channel can have this state set, or cycled between the three options
by pushing [FUNC] + [(ts)SKIP] until the required option is displayed.

Thank you very much indeed for the detailed instructions. Now, it seems that a nuisance channel is skipped in the programmed edge scan.
