IC R30 and ARC30/PC Connection Failure

Just purchased IC R30. Function-USB Connect-SD Card Mode and SD Card-Import/Export-CSV Format-Separator/Decimal-Sep[,] Dec[.] are set. Connect to Windows 10 PC and mouse cursor disappears. Other times cursor stays but PC does not see R30 in File Explorer or Device Manager (Ports or USB).

ARC 30 opens but won's see any SD card files.

SD card in R30 is fine. Insert directly into PC and shows 30GB free. Can I download directly from RadioReference or ARC 30 to SD and then return it to R30?

Yes you can. Just import and export from ARC30 to and from the SD card. I am actually having trouble charging with the USB cable that came with the R30. I'm thinking it's a USB cable issue. I had another cable lying around that is much thicker (than the ICOM supplied cable) and was actually able to charge the radio today. I haven't checked to see if this cable works for reading from the radio.

OK, I just tried the cable I had lying around and was able to connect to the PC and download and upload to the card via cable in ARC30. So, in my case anyway, the cable that was supplied with the R30 is bad.

I suspect a USB cable or USB port issue, if the R30 is not shown in Windows File Explorer than ARC30 will not be able to communicate with the R30 sd card. Try a different cable and different PC USB port.
