IC-R6 lack of availablilty

Anyone have any information about the lack of the IC-R6 at multiple resellers? I have a co-worker with an open order for a month now.

The IC-RX7 started disappearing before the cancellation was announced. Maybe a replacement is coming?

I still see they are for sale at Universal Radio. It would be neat if there was a replacement, but I haven't heard anything about one.

I bought one from HRO maybe 3 weeks ago and as far as I remember they were in stock at many of their 12 stores.

You can always find it on EBay too...

It is showing instock at Icom - so if dealers are out, they are just out of stock locally themselves. Any Authroized Icom Dealer should be able to get one ordered from Icom, and sell it to you or anyone - if they so desire.

I have an IC-R6 and not really impressed. I Hope Someone comes out with good programming software, Icom may make a radio but cannot and should not write software for any of thier radios. Some of thier features seem like a waste and other features seam short sighted.
I also own IC-R20, IC-R75, 2-ICT-7H darn good HT, BNC connecter, nice size, 2M/440,Air Band,but 70 channels?
