I have IC706 original connected via SignaLink and programming cable and can receive just fine on 20M. I can use mic in FM to transit 100w/swr 1.2.

However in wsjtx ptt doesn’t work and I can’t transmit. What setup on rig or wsjtx is wrong? See pics.

I take it that you have a CI-V interface. The 'Test CAT' button on the bottom left seems to be working since it's green.

All I can think of is changing the PTT selection from VOX to CAT.. That way your computer will activate the PTT directly rather than having the radio wait for audio from your sound card interface..

Also for better performance... On the bottom where it says "Split operation" choose 'Fake it'. That will adjust your TX frequency when you transmit so your TX signal is always in the middle of your transmit passband. Otherwise you can run in to problems when transmitting down at 500 Hz and below or up at 2000 Hz and higher.
