They are using DES-OFB encryption so you won't hear a thing...unless of course you have the proper key loaded.

Don't give up, not all Comms are Secure. Too many nay-sayers telling folks it's always encrypted. PS Customs/Immigration/Border Patrol are mostly all P-25, but still CLEAR

All depends on the Agents using the system. You never know what you might stumble on.

Best range is 162-174 and in APCO25 digital.
