All,
I'm getting ready to install my Icom 2730 in a 2025 Toyota Camry with the battery in the trunk. I plan to install the base unit in the trunk and mount the head unit and the mic on a Lido Cup holder. If anyone has any experience with a similar install I would appreciate any advice on cable routing etc.
I have a Nagoya RB-700N NMO trunk lid antenna mount that I'm going to try with a Larsen 1/4 wave, but I'm a little concerned that the coax is too thick and may get pinched, we'll see I guess.
One last thing, is it possible to use the in car entertainment system bluetooth with the Icom Bluetooth UT-133 module to send audio through the in car speakers?
If that is a possibility, how does the audio work when listening to the car's entertainment audio (AM/FM broadcast radio, Sirius Satellite Radio, cell phone, or etc.)? If not I'll find a place for the Icom speaker somewhere up front (after I splice in some addition speaker wire).
There was a question posted regarding this, but I didn't see any responses.
Thanks,
Lou
