I bought this radio recently to mount in my car and I happened to notice it didn't come with your typical mic mount. What are my options here? I checked the icom site and they didn't sell any type of mic mount that I saw. Am I missing something or is there something out there sold? If not, anyone have custom suggestions?

I think he's talking about the stupid mic "hook" that Icom loves to use on their amateur gear. It's not the standard microphone hang up button used on most radios.
The little stick/screw on hanger that Icom uses is just a flimsy piece of sheet metal.

Here's an option:

Probably any stick on or screw in hook from a hardware store would work.

Other option would be to salvage a mic hang up button from an old microphone and attach it to the back of the Icom mic. I did that with one of them many years ago. You can also buy them here:

Make something yourself out of aluminum or steel. Basically a flat area for a couple of screws, and a hook area to hold the mic. Make the hook area long enough so the mic can't bounce out. You can probably get a local fab shop to make one using material from their scrap bin. If you were local to me I'd do it for free.
