I have a small program that I use in my office with a PCR100. When you run it, it places a small radio icon on your tasktray next to the clock.
left-click to display the button panel.
right-click to display the config screen.
The program allows you to set the frequency and mode of up to 16 buttons. click on the button to quickly switch to that frequency.
I have the buttons configured to the local FM stations, 2 AM stations, and the weather frequency (162.475 NFM). I can click from station to station in the same way that I would use a normal portable radio with memory buttons.
http://hamster.foxhollow.ca/PCR100/ go to the bottom of the page and grab miniPCR. 39k download.
No scanning, bandscope or any other fancy features. If you only want to use the PCR as a radio, this is as simple as it can be. It sends the power-on command, frequency/mode command to the radio as well as the set-audio level command. Once every 10 seconds it sends a keep-alive so the radio will not auto-poweroff.
