ICOM Poor Technical Support T90

I recently called ICOM Technical support after not getting an answer by email a month ago for a programming problem with my T90. The person I tallked was no help and was very impatiant with me. They finally told me to buy the programming software and programming cable at a price of 100.00 dollars

What type of service is that? Who does ICOM hire for their supoprt reps. I finally called a friend who was able to figure how to program my radio. The instruction book is really no help at all.

Wow, I'm really surprised. I've dealt with their technicians before, and they were aces. Did you get a name? If so, time to bang out a letter to someone and tell them what you think of the support!

Was this Icom America? Or some customer service company in India? I've never had anything but pleasant experiences with the company itself.
