Icom R-8500 value

I've inherited an Icom R-8500 from a family member and would like to find out its secondhand value. Its in excellent condition and full working order but I already have two handheld scanners so do not need this big base station.

Any ideas on its value?

I sold my R8500 for $900 which included all original packaging, manuals, etc. The price has done nothing but go up lately. I would say anywhere from $700 to $1,000 maybe more for an excellent condition R8500. That is a guesstimate though, try looking at what they have gone for on eBay.

That's a nice receiver you got there don't be so quick to sell it. It's on a different class than your average scanner. I sold radios in the past and then I wish I did not later on.
