Icom released new firmware for the R30. Version 1.06

Fixed an issue where the digital mode's audio may not be output or recorded after starting a memory scan when both analog and digital entries are in the memory channels, even after the scan has been cancelled.

Fixed an issue where the encryption key may not be properly decrypted while receiving an encrypted digital signal on A band, in the single watch mode.

Anyone know if the USA Firmware version of the R30 has the NXDN decryption functionality described in the Advanced Manual, or is it limited to Japan/Europe versions?

I have the USA R30 with the latest firmware and I don't see this option.
I do see under :

Digital Set -Tone Control -NXDN-Bass-Treble-Bass Boost ( This option is available for all digital modes )
Digital Set - Fast Unmute (NXDN) -ON-OFF

There are two columns in the CSV for this...

NXDN Encryption (Off/On)
NXDN Encryption Key (Key)

Using the radio
On a NXDN-VN channel in memory manager, press QUICK, then scroll to ENCRYP OFF, change that to ENCRYP ON then ENCRYP KEY field will show.

Thanks Hit_Factor: do you think this function is limited to just NXDN-VN, or do you think it works on NXDN-N and DC-R as well? The Advanced Manual suggest both: I'm a prospective owner, so only have feedback/the manual to guide me at the minute. Thanks in advance.

NXDN-VN was just the first example I came across, it works with 4800/9600 the same.

There are columns in the CSV for dPMR Scrambler and DCR Encryption. So those 3 modes can receive encrypted comm if you have the key.
