Icom: Icom V8000 Speaker Issue after warm-up

I have the above unit and the radio speaker is cutting off about 4 minutes after radio warm-up.
It does work fine with an external speaker.
Has anyone experienced this problem and what is the cure. any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like a classic solder joint or ground problem. Take speaker out of circuit and test with another source. If good, problem may be on the board itself or the external speaker jack itself or associated solder pads.
