Lee County Fl Talkgroups

You are looking at the old Public Safety for Lee County. Go to the new system of 12 frequencies, all fire department talk groups are correct. This includes Cape Coral and Ft Meyers. If you are going to monitor Lee Fire Departments that will be all you need including 9392 for EMS.

Lee County Frequencies

It's been a while since I used a scanner, so this trunked system that Lee County has, is completely foreign to me. I want to monitor Lee County EMS, PD, and FD frequencies. It's not like I can simply program a frequency into a scanner anymore. Does anyone know what type of scanner to get and what the frequencies are?

Thanks much!

Any RS handheld Pro-90 thru Pro-96, base/mobile Pro-2050, 2052, 2053 and 2067. Uniden BC235 or newer handheld, base/mobile BC895 or newer. There may be other Unidens also.

EdEffron suggested to check the NEW Lee County system found on the RR Database link of this board. I used that data Nov. 13 thru 16 last year and it appears to be correct.

Be nice if some Admin type accidentally lost the OLD Lee County system from the RR Florida page.

Lee County Frequencies

As part of my EMT clinicals, I had to sit at Lee County Dispatch for 4 hours tonight. Believe it or not, the dispatchers had no clue what their own frequencies are. But I must say, the 911 Dispatch technology is terrific.

Well thanks everyone for the feedback both the old and new systems work just fine, i have tried them both. Actually my friend in Ft Myers is using the old version and he says its working great, its just those few talk ids that need a name :?: . Also we are trying to find out if the Tice area uses the new version or are they on their own freq, someone gave us 154.325 not sure if that is correct. Again thanks for the help and happy scanning I also heard that this area was killed with heavy rains winds and possible tornado in the Pine Island area. Although i live in Mass. my best friend moved to Ft Myers last October and we talk everyday, i just returned home from a week there and have visited the area many times. Its a great area :!: :!: See you in July i will be there for 3 weeks actually i will be in Sanibel.

Talkgroups

All the various agencies are toned out on the dispatch channels. The talkgroups you listed are TAC channels which are used while enroute and on scene. The dispatcher will asign a TAC channel for each incident. Sometimes this is random, but some departments alway ask for a set TAC channel every time. IE; Brush fires are often given TAC channels 20 and 21 but there is no real set pattern. I have been listening to this system since it began and I was the one who updated the Data Base list with most of the talkgroups and there does not seem to be many set channels, but some departments do use the same ones often
