Idea: Intergrate fire call alerts into RR feeds

I currently maintain a system that sends out a message/alert whenever the local fire department puts a call out over their radio system. I would love to see this functionality built into the radio reference pages.

Here is how my system works:

1. I have a radio attached to the PC that only activates when the local FD puts out their Zeetron paging tones.
2. Software on my PC captures the audio and sends it via email to a Google Group (http://groups.google.com/group/gfdalert)
3. The GoogleGroup sends an email with the audio file to all the members of the group.

In this case the FD that I am creating alerts for is already on RR. It would be awesome if something like this could be integrated into the site so that you could go back and listen to the last 10 or so calls.

There are also a lot of agencies that are using Twitter to notify of significant calls. It would be very easy to integrate Twitter feeds on to the feed pages. (for example http://twitter.com/mfdalert for Memphis fire)

Posterous - The place to post everything. Just email us. Dead simple blog by email. makes that a very simple process... Many of us are using it with TwoToneDetect, like http://twitter.com/lansingtwpfire and http://twitter.com/deltatwpfire

That is similar to what I do. Either way the point I was making was I would like to see it integrated into RR pages somehow.
