You are correct, perry isn't using 46.06. They're on a mix of analog and p25 conventional vhf hi band.

I would just write down a few of the address units are being dispatched to. Then go to Google Maps and see where it's at.

Since you claim they are fire & medic dispatches you can simply look up addresses on Google Maps and this should clue you in to who you're listening to. Shouldn't be that hard if you have a good copy

Bucks (or rather, one of the fire companies) used to have a repeater on that frequency (former East Band) that rebroadcasted the new East Band talkgroup, but I have not put a receiver on that frequency in a long time to see if it is still active.

Yup there definitely is an echo...

FWIW this isn't used anymore so we can cross that off as a possibility

I've submitted an RRDB update to get the Bucks frequency deprecated & it is now listed as such. It hasn't been active in about 10 years, maybe more?

VHF skip was pretty good the other day. I was able to get Pike consistently. I get them occasionally but not that strong. I was getting Chester and Lehigh which I’ve pretty much stopped getting after narrow banding and other changes a few decades ago. I even got Lehigh and Montco to come in for a while. I haven’t been able to get either of them probably since the 90’s.

Sadly I don’t have any low band monitoring in those scanners so I wasn’t able to see if I could help solve this mystery if the low band skip was as strong. And as fast as the good listening conditions came it went poof and vanished for me just as fast.
