....try a different phone.
It's been hit or miss with the app and my Galaxy A36 phone. I'll get the app and radio paired up, but when I exit the app and come back later, I get a 'connection has timed out' message. To get everything working properly again, I'd pretty much have to go thru the entire setup process again. It got to the point where it had turned into a huge PITA. Grrrr!!
Solution? Try a different phone. I downloaded the app to my old, unused iPhone Xr. Got it and the scanner paired and started listening via the app. Waited about 10 minutes, then I exited from the app. After a few minutes, I reopened the app and the connection was restored immediately. I did this about half a dozen times, and had no issues any of those times. Two phones isn't the idea solution, but it will work for now. I'm pretty much bedridden, so having my iPhone on one side and my A36 on the other isn't a major inconvenience.
However, had I known that the app and my A36 weren't going to play nice together, I would have saved my money and just continued to use a BT dongle with my 100. Ah well, I do like the 150's waterfall feature as well as its increased analog sensitivity, so it's not a total waste. And if I ever make it out of bed and find myself on a road trip, I'm sure I'll like the GPS feature as well. 👍🙂
