As Category 2 Hurricane IKE approaches Galveston Bay, with probable
impacts on JSC and the current supply mission to ISS, we are now
streaming the High-Frequency Single-Sideband (HF-SSB) Hurricane Watch
Net transmissions at

http://stormstream.net (Server courtesy Radio Reference)

As propagation and station locations vary, with some on battery power
and/or makeshift antennas, signals will vary in readability and
strength. Noise bursts will be heard periodically as static from
atmospheric activity opens the squelch on my Receiver.

This is a volunteer "Ham" net and if you hear the call-sign WX4NHC,
that is the "Ham" station located in the Miami National Hurricane
Center. The storm center is still quite a bit off-shore (6:30 PM EDT),
so Net activity will increase as landfall approaches and we will keep
the stream active as long as needed.

There are also links to Houston TV stations and HWN VOIP audio on the
site.
